833 FZUS63 KDTX 052039 GLFLH Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 339 PM EST Wed Feb 5 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Two areas of low pressure effect the area tonight through early Friday. First low, 29.70 inches, moves into the southern Great Lakes tonight generating wintry mix over these waters with snow to the north. The second low, 29.30 inches, then tracks along the northern shore of Lake Superior Thursday night. This system brings the potential for widespread gales over the central Great Lakes as well as areas of freezing spray. A Gale Warning is in effect for all Lake Huron Thursday evening into Friday morning.
