For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong southerly winds develop tonight ahead of low
pressure, 29.30 inches, moving through the northern Great Lakes
tomorrow. Brief gusts to gales possible over the open waters of
Lake Huron early Friday morning. High pressure will reside over
the region Saturday before a deepening low pressure system moves
through the southern Lakes and ushers in an arctic air mass
Sunday into Monday.

.TONIGHT...Southwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots. A chance of showers after midnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet
building to 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around 12 feet.
.FRIDAY...South winds 15 to 20 knots veering to the southwest
early in the afternoon...then becoming west 20 to 25 knots with
gusts to around 30 knots late in the afternoon. A chance of
showers. Waves 5 to 7 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to
around 30 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots. A chance of rain in
the evening. Waves 5 to 7 feet. Waves occasionally around 9 feet.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet
subsiding to 2 feet or less in the late morning and afternoon.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...North winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to
15 knots after midnight. Snow likely. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SUNDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots. Snow likely in the morning...then a chance of snow.
Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
.MONDAY...North winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusts to 30 knots early in
the evening. A chance of snow. Waves 4 to 6 feet.
.TUESDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west 15 to
20 knots with gusts to around 30 knots in the late morning and
early afternoon...then becoming southwest 20 to 25 knots with
gusts to around 30 knots early in the evening decreasing to 15 to
20 knots in the late evening and early morning. A chance of rain.

20 knots late in the evening...then increasing to 20 to 25 knots
with gusts to around 30 knots after midnight increasing to
30 knots. A brief period of gusts to 35 knot gales is possible
early in the morning. Showers likely after midnight. Waves 1 to 3
feet building to 8 to 12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.FRIDAY...South winds to 30 knots becoming southwest 20 to 25
knots with gusts to around 30 knots in the late morning and
afternoon. A chance of showers. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves
occasionally around 11 feet.

30 knots becoming northwest 15 to 20 knots after midnight. A

.SUNDAY...North winds 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots
with gusts to around 30 knots. Rain likely in the morning. Snow
likely. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.MONDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots. Gusts to 30 knots until
early evening. A chance of snow. Waves 10 to 14 feet. Waves
occasionally around 18 feet.
