002 FZUS61 KCLE 171324 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 924 AM EDT Fri Oct 17 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... High pressure of 30.20 inches over eastern Ohio will will move to the East Coast by tonight. This will allow a warm front to lift north across Lake Erie tonight into Saturday. Low pressure will track out of the Mid-Mississippi Valley and deepen to 29.30 inches over lower Michigan on Sunday, pulling a strong cold front east across Lake Erie. A ridge averaging 30.10 inches will build into the Ohio Valley on Monday. Low pressure of 29.40 inches will quickly track east across the Upper Great Lakes on Tuesday.
