857 FZUS61 KCLE 140819 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 319 AM EST Fri Nov 14 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A ridge averaging 30.20 inches remains over Lake Erie through today. The ridge exits eastward tonight and Saturday morning allowing a warm front to lift across the lake. A cold front then sweeps eastward across the lake Saturday night. In its wake, a trough averaging 29.70 inches then lingers over Lake Erie through Monday. By Tuesday, a ridge averaging 30.20 inches should attempt to build from the northwestern Great Lakes as a low moves from near the Lower Missouri Valley toward the southern Appalachians and weakens to 30.00 inches.
