SOUTHEASTERN VERMILION AND SOUTHEASTERN ST. MARTIN PARISHES THROUGH
900 AM CDT...

At 819 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of Freshwater City to Bayou
Vista. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Ellerslie, Patterson Memorial Airport, Glencoe, Freshwater
City, Patterson, Bayou Vista, Cypremort Point, Morgan City,
Centerville, Stephensville, Burns Point, Cote Blanche Island,
Berwick, and Intracoastal City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
