...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN LAFAYETTE AND
NORTHWESTERN ST. MARTIN PARISHES THROUGH 530 PM CDT...
At 440 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Henderson, or near Breaux Bridge, moving west at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Carencro, Broussard, Youngsville,
Henderson, Cecilia, Parks, and Milton.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 96 and 119.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 1 and 4.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
