...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT...

For the following areas...
Atchafalaya and East Cote Blanche Bays...
Vermilion and West Cote Blanche Bays...

At 532 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm southeast of
West Cote Blanche Bay, moving southwest at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
