.DISCUSSION...
Strong northeast winds behind a departed cold front will persist
into this evening...expect sustained surface winds at times
exceeding 20 MPH with higher gusts. Combined with very low
relative humidity and already dry vegetation, a Red Flag Warning
continues into this evening for all of our Louisiana parishes.

Winds will relax tonight before picking up somewhat again for
Thursday. And although the dry airmass will be in place, with
minimum relative humidity values generally ranging from 25 percent
to 35 percent, transport winds should generally remain around 10
to 15 MPH with 20 foot winds around 10 MPH...fire danger will
remain elevated, but additional watches or warnings are not
expected.
