.DISCUSSION...
High pressure ridges into northwest Louisiana overnight and into
today halting most, if not all, rain chances. The immediate
coastline may see a brief storm this afternoon before it pushes
offshore on weak northerly winds aloft. Upper high pressure moves
inland over the week, opening the door to daily scattered showers
and thunderstorms within the tropical moisture settled in over the
region. Daily cloud cover will keep temps in the climatologically
normal range.
