180 FZUS54 KLCH 170809 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 309 AM CDT Thu Sep 17 2026 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-172100- 309 AM CDT Thu Sep 17 2026 .Synopsis for Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 NM including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays... A fairly tight pressure gradient will keep easterly winds elevated through this evening. Winds will slowly decrease into Friday and through weekend as high pressure moves off the Atlantic coast.
