...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM CST /9 AM MST/
THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CST /5 PM MST/ THIS EVENING FOR LOW HUMIDITY, NEAR
RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES, AND GUSTY WESTERLY WINDS FOR THE
EASTERN PANHANDLE, SANDHILLS, AND NORTHERN NEBRASKA...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 204 Eastern
  Panhandle/Crescent Lake NWR, Fire Weather Zone 206
  Sandhills/Valentine NWR/Nebraska National Forest and Fire
  Weather Zone 208 Niobrara Valley/Fort Niobrara NWR/Samuel R
  McKelvie National Forest.

* TIMING...9 AM MST through 5 PM MST Friday.

* WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Upper 70s to to low 80s.

* LIGHTNING...None expected.

* IMPACTS...Any fire starts will have the potential for quick
  growth and rapid spread and may be difficult to control.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
