...October 2025 saw above normal temperatures and below normal
precipitation for North Platte and Valentine...

For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature in October was
53.6 degrees which was 3.4 degrees above the normal of 57.0 degrees. The
average daily high temperature for the month was 67.5 degrees which
was 1.5 degrees below the normal of 66.0 degrees. The average daily
low temperature for October was 39.8 degrees which was 5.5 degrees
above the normal 34.3 degrees. One daily record temperature was set
during the month of October for North Platte. On the 26th, the low in
North Platte was 50 degrees, breaking the record high minimum
temperature of 49 degrees set previously in 1940.

For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature in October was
53.0 degrees which was 3.7 degrees above the normal of 49.3 degrees. The
average daily high temperature for month was 66.5 degrees which was
2.0 degrees above the normal of 64.5 degrees. The average daily low
temperature for the month was 39.6 degrees which was 5.4 degrees
above the normal of 34.2 degrees. Two daily temperature records were
set during the month of October at Valentine. On the 3rd, the low
temperature was 60 degrees breaking the record high minimum temperature
of 59 degrees set previously in 1955. On the 26th, the low temperature
was 52 degrees breaking the record high minimum temperature of 48
degrees set previously in 1982.

At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for October
totaled 1.18 inches which was 0.47 inches below the normal of 1.65
inches. No daily precipitation records were set during the month of
October in North Platte. Snowfall for October totaled 0.0 inches which
was 2.2 inches below the normal of 2.2 inches.

At Miller Field in Valentine, precipitation for October totaled
0.33 inches which was 1.09 inches below the normal of 1.42 inches.
No daily precipitation records were set during the month of October
for Valentine. Snowfall for October totaled 0.0 inches which was
2.0 inches below the normal of 2.0 inches.
