For North Platte, the average daily mean temperature in September was 65.4 degrees which was 1.2 degrees above the normal of 64.2 degrees. The average daily high temperature for the month was 79.9 degrees which was 0.1 degrees below the normal of 80.0 degrees. The average daily low temperature for September was 50.9 degrees which was 2.6 degrees above the normal 48.3 degrees. No daily temperature records were set during the month of September at North Platte. For Valentine, the average daily mean temperature in September was 66.7 degrees which was 2.5 degrees above the normal of 64.2 degrees. The average daily high temperature for month was 80.5 degrees which was 0.7 degrees above the normal of 79.8 degrees. The average daily low temperature for the month was 52.8 degrees which was 4.2 degrees above the normal of 48.6 degrees. One daily temperature record was tied during the month of September at Valentine. On the 30th, the low temperature was 60 degrees, tying the record high minimum temperature of 60 degrees set previously in 2017. At Lee Bird Field in North Platte, precipitation for September totaled 2.68 inches which was 1.07 inches above the normal of 1.61 inches. One daily precipitation record was set during the month of September in North Platte. On the 16th, 1.02 inches of rain fell, breaking the record of 0.64 inches set in 2022. At Miller Field in Valentine, precipitation for September totaled 4.68 inches which was 2.96 inches above the normal of 1.72 inches. September 2025 will go down as the 3rd wettest September on record for Valentine. One daily precipitation record was set during the month of September at Valentine.
