Periodic rain and thunderstorms are likely Sunday for much of western and north central Nebraska. Early morning storms pose little severe threat but afternoon and evening storms will likely be capable of significant hazards including large hail exceeding two inches in diameter, damaging wind gusts exceeding 75 mph, and a tornado or two. Heavy rain is also likely with any thunderstorm through the day but widespread flooding is not expected. Folks should remain weather aware, especially this afternoon and evening across western Nebraska. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Strong to severe thunderstorms are again likely on Monday as a frontal boundary moves in from the northwest. Significant hazards again appear possible including up to two inch diameter hail, 75 mph or greater wind gusts, and a tornado or two. Rain and thunderstorm chances continue daily Tuesday through Saturday. The threat for severe weather will need to be monitored, particularly Thursday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
