This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A heat advisory remains in effect for locations generally west of
US-183. An extreme heat warning is in effect for locations east of
US-183, where heat indices between 105 and 107 are possible. See the
latest headline for additional details.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening along and north of
Highway 2 and east of Highway 83. These storms could produce strong
winds and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Temperatures will climb into the 90s to low 100s across portions of
the area Sunday afternoon ahead of a cold front. A heat advisory is
in effect for Sunday afternoon across central and north central
Nebraska, where heat index values in excess of 100 degrees are
expected.

Near-daily thunderstorm chances return on Sunday night through
Wednesday. There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms on Sunday
afternoon and evening, east of Highway 83, with a Marginal Risk for
all other areas in western and north central Nebraska. There is a
Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms Monday for areas along and
south of Interstate 80. The severe outlook beyond Monday is
uncertain at this time.
