Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
303 PM CST Tue Nov 26 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through the forecast period.

Temperatures look to trend colder and though dry conditions are
largely expected with a few instances of gusty winds, temperatures
5 to 15 degrees below normal each day Thursday through Sunday
will keep humidity well above critical levels. Wetting
precipitation appears unlikely with a few locations perhaps seeing
very light QPF Wednesday morning and again Saturday morning.

Temperatures next week appear set to return to well above normal
values as upper ridging builds across the western CONUS. For now,
the prospect of increased fire weather concerns remains uncertain.
