Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
315 AM CDT Fri Apr 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Widespread wetting rainfall continues this morning across much of
southwest into the Sandhills and north central Nebraska. Total
rainfall amounts should range from around a tenth of an inch to as
much as one inch across the area through this afternoon. Though
humidity remains elevated today, winds will be strong from the
north this afternoon, with gusts of 35 to 45 miles per hour.

Fire concerns will continue to remain lowered this weekend and
early next week, as temperatures remain well below average and
humidity remains elevated. Some increase in fire concerns is
possible into the middle to late week, as temperatures return back
above average amid dry conditions.
