.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather concerns are expected this afternoon across
much of western and north central Nebraska. This is due to a
combination of temperatures in the 70s and minimum humidity values
in the upper teens to low 20s. However, wind are expected to
remain generally at or below 15 miles per hour today.
Fire concerns lessen for late week into the weekend, as increasing
moisture keeps humidity values elevated well above criteria each
afternoon. Additionally, near daily threats for wetting moisture
are possible across all of western and north central Nebraska into
early next week. This could also bring a threat for isolated dry
lightning, and this will need to be monitored closely.
