.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather remain low today as wintery weather occurs across
most of western and north central Nebraska. In addition, below
average temperatures return for Sunday. Gusty northwest will
persist today and again tomorrow, with gusts of 25 mph expected.
Some increase in fire concerns are possible early next week, as
temperatures return to well above average (highs in 50s to low
60s). Though humidity values look to remain above critical
thresholds, the mild temperatures will combine with gusty west
winds of 20 to 30 mph Tuesday. This could lead to elevated fire
concerns, especially Tuesday afternoon.
