.DISCUSSION...
Smoke from the Canadian wildfires will prevail through early
evening before dissipating. Visibility restrictions down to 5
miles may be possible at times. Across northern Nebraska, north
northwest wind gusts up to 30 to 40 mph will also continue through
the evening before decreasing by Midnight CT. Therefore, elevated
conditions continue into the evening. Across southwest Nebraska,
isolated rain and thunderstorms will develop by late evening
lasting into the early morning hours. Rainfall is expected to be
minimal with only 0.01 or less of rainfall estimated. Cooler
temperatures and drier conditions then arrive for Friday and into
the weekend resulting in low fire weather concerns through Sunday.
