Critical fire weather conditions are expected today across zones
204, 206 and 210 for minimum relative humidity of 10 to 15 percent
and frequent wind gusts of 25 to 35 MPH. The strongest wind gusts
this afternoon will be over portions of zone 204. Afternoon highs
will reach 75 to around 80 degrees in the red flag warning area.
Elsewhere near critical fire weather conditions are expected with
minimum relative humidity of 20 to 25 percent.
Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible
Thursday and Friday across the area. Gusty winds are expected on
Thursday with gusts up to 35 MPH west of a line from North Platte
to Valentine. Minimum RH in these areas will be 25 to 30 percent.
High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 60s. If
temperatures trend upward, there will be a better chance to reach
minimum RH around 15 percent.
Cooler temperatures will arrive this weekend, limiting fire
weather concerns across the area.
