.DISCUSSION...
Recent rains and cooler temperatures will help temper fire weather
concerns through much of the upcoming forecast period.
Many locations east of Highway 83 have seen one inch or greater
rainfall in the past 72 hours. Cooler temperatures will continue
in these parts will allow low fire weather concerns to continue.
Further west, however, warmer temperatures in areas that saw much
less rainfall will approach elevated conditions on Tuesday.
Daytime highs will climb into the middle 80s which will be near to
slightly above normal. Northerly winds will usher in drier air and
afternoon humidity minimums will fall to around 20 percent for
western Zone 204. Winds will also remain fairly modest with gusts
less than 20 mph likely.
Cooler temperatures return for Wednesday and Thursday and though a
frontal boundary brings precipitation chances Wednesday, the
potential for wetting rains is low. Shortwave ridging builds in
for the weekend and coincides with warming temperatures. This may
lead to some localized elevated concerns but confidence in precise
details is low at this time.
