The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to south of
  Halfmoon Shoal 20 to 60 nm out...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 557 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located from 38 nm south
  of Twenty-Eight Foot Shoal Light to 22 nm south of Wood`s Wall
  East Crack. The strong thunderstorms were nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...National Weather Service Meteorologist.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

* Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Intense and continuous lightning is occurring with these storms. Stay
low, or go below. Lower VHF antenna, outriggers, fishing rods, and
umbrellas.
