The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Gulf of America from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon
  Shoal out to 5 fathoms...
  Hawk Channel from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal
  out to the reef...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 429 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm with possible waterspouts was
  located over Raccoon Key. The strong thunderstorm was nearly
  stationary.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, cause
           considerable damage to vessels and create suddenly higher
           waves. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly
           higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

* Locations in the warning include...
  Annette Key, Howe Key, Coupon Bight, Raccoon Key, Newfound Harbor,
  Cudjoe Bay, and Little Knockemdown Key.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor as quickly, and as safely as
possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
