The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Straits of Florida from Craig Key to Halfmoon Shoal out 60 nm...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 643 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Marathon Humps to 15 nm southeast of Sombrero
  Key Light to 9 nm southeast of Big Pine Shoal, moving south at 25
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts near 40 knots.

  SOURCE...National Weather Service Meteorologist.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

* Locations in the warning include...
  Marathon Humps.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, steep and fast-building
seas, frequent lightning, and blinding downpours. Stay low or go
below, and make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.

Intense and continuous lightning is occurring with these storms. Stay
low, or go below. Lower VHF antenna, outriggers, fishing rods, and
umbrellas.
