Through noon, a broken line of showers and possibly a few thunderstorms will wax and wane across the distant Straits of Florida south of the Florida Keys. This activity will move generally to the southwest to west at near 10 knots. Mariners encountering the stronger portions of this activity, mainly south and west of the Marathon Humps and Floyd`s Wall, can expect wind gusts near 20 knots, heavy downpours reducing visibility, and a few cloud to surface lightning strikes. $$
