Through 10 pm, scattered showers across Straits of Florida will continue moving west to southwest at near 15 knots. A cloud line over the Lower Keys and nearshore waters surrounding the Lower Keys will occasionally develop showers along it. This activity will be capable of moderate to heavy downpours, wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots, and an occasional lightning strike. On land, island communities across the Island Chain may receive a few hundredths to up to a tenth of an inch of rainfall. Cloud lines are notorious for producing waterspouts and can most likely be found in the region where there is just the hint of rain. As of now, none have been reported. $$
