Through 3 pm, scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will wax
and wane as they move northwest at 5 to 10 knots across the
easternmost coastal waters surrounding the Florida Keys. Mariners
encountering this activity can expect brief blinding downpours
reducing visibility, wind gusts 25 to 30 knots, and frequent
lightning. Select island communities in the Middle to Upper Keys may
receive an additional half to one inch of rainfall accumulation.
