Through 5 am, pockets of isolated showers will wax and wane as they
move generally west at near 5 knots through the Straits of Florida,
Outer Gulf waters near P Tower, and across the island chain and its
nearshore waters. Mariners encountering this activity can expect
bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall reducing visibilities, winds
gusting up to 20 to 25 knots, and possibly a few lightning strikes.
