.NOW...
Through 1100 pm, scattered showers with a few embedded thunderstorms
will track southwestward at 5 to 10 mph, across the Upper Keys and
surrounding near through offshore waters. Most of this activity will
be found over the adjacent Florida Straits, and will produce a few
lightning strikes, wind gusts near 25 mph, and blinding downpours.
Island locations near Ocean Reef and North Key Largo will be most
likely to be affected and receive a quarter to one half of an inch
of rain. Elsewhere, a wind surge boundary will continue to sweep
southwestward at 20 knots, into the gulf waters adjacent to the Dry
Tortugas. Mariners can expect wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots with this
boundary.
