Through 3 AM EDT, scattered to numerous showers, with embedded isolated thunderstorms, will track generally northeastward at 10 to 15 knots, through the near through offshore Florida Straits from the Marquesas Keys to Dry Tortugas, as well as well southeast of Key Largo. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph, blinding downpours, and a few lightning strikes. Island communities will see shower activity wax and wane throughout the hour, and new rainfall accumulations will range anywhere from a few hundredths of an inch up to half of an inch, depending where the heaviest showers track. $$
