Through 3 am, scattered showers with an embedded thunderstorm or two will track west southwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the Florida Keys and surrounding near through offshore waters. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph, blinding downpours, and possibly a few lightning strikes. Any island location in the Upper and Middle Keys will be most likely to be affected, receiving additional amounts between a trace and a quarter of an inch of rain. $$ MJV
