Through 800 am, scattered showers and potential isolated
thunderstorms will move northwest at around 10 knots across the
southeastern Gulf including the Dry Tortugas and Lower Keys nearshore
waters, Hawk Channel near the Lower Keys, western Florida Bay, and
portions of the Florida Straits south of the Lower and Middle Keys.
The strongest activity will be capable of heavy downpours limiting
visibility, wind gusts up to 20 to 25 knots, and possible occasional
lightning strikes. Lower Keys island communities may receive a quick
few hundreths of an inch of rainfall accumulation.
