Sound...

At 1123 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots,
and persistent lightning. This thunderstorm was located over
Mosquito Bank Light, moving northwest at 15 knots.

Locations that will be affected include...
Mosquito Bank Light, Blackwater Sound, French Ref, Grecian Rocks,
Barnes Sound, Molasses Reef Light, and Key Largo Dry Rocks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.

Intense and continuous lightning is occurring with this storm. Stay
low, or go below. Lower VHF antenna, outriggers, fishing rods, and
umbrellas. Avoid open areas on islands and sandbars. Do not shelter
under tall or isolated trees on nearby mangrove islands.
