...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS WEST OF ELBOW CAY...

The areas affected include...
Straits of Florida from Craig Key to west end of Seven Mile Bridge 20
to 60 nm out...

At 120 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.
This thunderstorm was located 7 nm west of Elbow Cay, moving south at
10 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as
safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
