An upper level low will meander just west of the Florida Peninsula and will result in scattered thunderstorms today and tonight. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes, locally heavy downpours, and gusty winds. Watch for localized ponding on roadways and flooding of the typical low-lying areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. The upper level low will weaken into a trough and meander about the Florida Peninsula through the end of the week. As this feature lifts out, a low level ridge will build back in across the area, keeping a moist and unstable easterly flow. As a result, isolated thunderstorms anticipated for the remainder of the period. The primary hazards will be frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes, locally heavy rainfall, and gusty winds. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
