Florida Bay, Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef
to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary

Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Wave Detail will include details about the period and direction
of origin for the highest energy waves. Long-period swells coming
from a different direction than the wind would be included in the
Wave Detail.

Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas
419 PM EDT Fri Apr 4 2025

.SYNOPSIS...A pronounced high pressure system over the North
Atlantic continues to sustain fresh to strong east to
southeasterly breezes across the Florida Keys waters. Breezes will
begin to slacken Sunday morning as a low pressure system deepens
over the eastern United States. Shower chances will stay near nil
until next week when a frontal passage may occur sometime around
Tuesday to Wednesday, with a slight chance of thunderstorms on
Tuesday. Breezes will freshen and veer to the northwest to north
as the front approaches and passes through the Keys.

 1 NM South of Cosgrove Shoal Light...off the Marquesas Keys.
 1 NM South of Sand Key Light...off Key West.

10 NM South of Sombrero Key Light...off Marathon.
 6 NM Southeast of Alligator Reef Light...off Islamorada.
 5 NM Southeast of Molasses Reef Light...off Key Largo.
 3 NM East of Carysfort Reef Light...off Ocean Reef.
