.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1040 AM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025
A pleasant morning is occurring for the Florida Keys! GOES-16
Satellite reveals that the clouds that were shading the Lower
Keys this morning have retreated to the Straits and are starting
to break apart leaving behind mostly sunny conditions.
Temperatures along the island chain are near 70 with dew points in
the mid 50s. This is a nice break in muggy air as 24 hours ago
the dewpoints were in the 70s! The 12z KKEY sounding sampled very
dry air above 850 mb and given this lack of moisture in our
atmosphere today, mostly sunny skies will continue and very
limited, if any, shower activity is expected through this evening.
The fresh to strong winds that accompanied the cold front passage
from yesterday evening are starting to gradually slacken this
morning, now with conditions falling just below Small Craft
Advisory level. Small Crafts have been taken down, but winds are
still elevated, and are expected to drop more this afternoon. Small
Craft Should Exercise Caution until winds decrease. Beyond
dropping the Small Craft headline, no other changes were necessary
to this update package.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1040 AM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025
Conditions have dropped below advisory criteria for the coastal
waters, therefore, the Small Craft Advisory has been cancelled.
Small Craft Should Exercise Caution until winds decrease later
this afternoon. From synopsis, fresh northwesterly breezes in the
wake of the cold frontal passage yesterday evening will continue
to gradually slacken thorugh this afternoon. High pressure over
the Gulf will slide eastward throughout the work week, with gentle
to moderate breezes clocking around to the northeast, then east,
and then to southeast. As a second, stronger high builds in the
western North Atlantic, southeasterly breezes will freshen for
Saturday and Saturday night.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 1040 AM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025
VFR conditions are expected through the remainder of the morning and
into the afternoon hours. Near surface winds are expected to remain
mostly out of the north with gusty winds to near 20 knots continuing
through the early to mid afternoon, diminishing thereafter.

.CLIMATE...
