.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1042 AM EDT Sat Aug 23 2025
It`s a pleasant Saturday here in the Florida Keys. Isolated
showers, with some briefly becoming thunderstorms, have waxed and
waned across the CWA, though a majority of the island chain has
remained dry. Temperatures are creeping from the upper 80s to near
90 as the day progresses. GOES-19 Visible Satellite depicts
partly cloudy skies. Due to mean layer ridging parking across the
region our wind observations along the Reef are mainly variable
and 5 knots or less. While our 12z KKEY sounding this morning
measured a fairly moist environment, showers will remain at bay as
there is not much driving them beyond lingering boundaries in the
CWA. For the rest of today and tonight, showers will continue to
pulse up and down along some boundaries but their quick nature
should not amount to much measurable rain across the island chain.
Winds are expected to remain light and variable. No changes were
necessary to the package at this time, as this weekend should be a
nice one!

.MARINE...
Issued at 1042 AM EDT Sat Aug 23 2025
A Coastal Flood Statement is in effect for the Upper Keys through
this evening. Elsewhere, no watches, warnings, or advisories are
in effect for the Keys. From synopsis, a weak subtropical high
pressure ridge will remain over the Keys through early next week.
This will result in generally light breezes, occasionally becoming
light to gentle as well as variable at times.

.AVIATION...
(15Z TAFS)
Issued at 1042 AM EDT Sat Aug 23 2025
VFR conditions will prevail at both EYW and MTH through the TAF
period. Light showers will continue to wax and wane and
occasionally pass near the MTH airport so VCSH is included for the
next few hours. Near surface winds at both terminals will be
variable and light through this evening.
