Issued at 242 PM EDT Fri Apr 18 2025 Not much has changed in terms of weather since this morning. Temperatures across the island chain are in the mid to upper 80s. Cloud coverage has remained limited and no showers have been detected all day! For winds, they are slowly freshening as the Reef is averaging near 17 knots. For tonight, winds will continue to increase becoming near 20 knots and staying easterly. Not too much beyond winds freshening is expected through tonight and into tomorrow. Broad high pressure centered over the western Atlantic remains the dominant synoptic feature influencing our weather over the Florida Keys. This ridge will continue to promote stable and dry conditions through the weekend. Winds are generally going to stay easterly and elevated with the strongest winds expected Saturday and Saturday night. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all of the coastal waters and it is likely going to last through the entire weekend with fresh breezes. Early next week, southeasterly winds will return bringing back some tropical moisture to the area, this will allow for near normal shower chances of 10% through the rest of the work week. While showers are possible, nothing too drastic is expected this week. Should be a mostly pleasant weekend and upcoming week for us as dewpoints will hold in the mid to upper 60s. && .MARINE...
