...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT HARLAN...SOUTHEASTERN BELL...
CENTRAL LETCHER AND SOUTHEASTERN PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 215 AM EDT...

At 153 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Rock House, or 14 miles southwest of Whitesburg,
moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Whitesburg, Harlan, Middlesboro, Cumberland, Jenkins, Elkhorn City,
Evarts, Fleming-Neon, Lynch, Benham, Bobs Creek, Dizney, Colly,
Louellen, Sergent, Clutts, Cubage, Shields, Adamson, and Black
Mountain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM EDT for southeastern
Kentucky.
