...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LETCHER...EAST
CENTRAL KNOTT...SOUTHEASTERN FLOYD AND SOUTHWESTERN PIKE COUNTIES
THROUGH 445 PM EDT...

At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Jonancy, or 12 miles southwest of Pikeville,
moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Whitesburg, Jenkins, Wheelwright, Fleming-Neon, Winters, Horn, Colly,
Beefhide, Cromona, Payne Gap, Sergent, Lester, Democrat, Dorton,
Ermine, Buckhorn Hollow, Lowndes, Adamson, Neon Junction, and Whitco.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 U.S. Highway 23 in Lethcher County between mile markers 1 and 7.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Pike County between mile markers 0 and 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
