...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall will affect many
locations through midday. More sparse coverage of thunderstorms is
expected this afternoon, but some of those storms could be strong to
severe.

Areas of heavy rainfall on top of already saturated soils could lead
to flash flooding and exacerbate already high streamflows on area
streams and rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms are possible at times through Sunday evening. Some of
them may be severe, mainly on Saturday night.

Heavy rain is forecast to affect the area at times into the weekend.
This will present a risk of flash flooding and river flooding.

Frost or freezing temperatures may affect much of the area Monday
night into Tuesday morning and again Tuesday night into Wednesday
morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report any occurrences of flooding, wind
damage, or hail through this weekend.
