.DISCUSSION...Surface high pressure and ridging aloft will remain
in place Wednesday, keeping the area warm and dry. A cold front
will then approach Thursday sparking a hit-or-miss shower/
thunderstorm threat. A more widespread period of showers and
thunderstorms is expected later Friday into early Saturday as the
cold front slowly settles through the Cumberland Valley. A soaking
rainfall is likely with probabilities for rainfall amounts
greater than 0.5 inch in excess of 80 percent through Saturday
evening.
