Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
535 AM EDT Tue Mar 11 2025

...Low Daily Minimum Relative Humidity through Wednesday...
...Gusty Breeze Today and Wednesday...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will keep fair weather and a dry low-
level air mass in place through Wednesday. This will result in
critical relative humidity values (25% or lower) this afternoon at
most locations and again in many locations on Wednesday.
Additionally, winds will become more gusty out of the southwest
today with peak gusts to between 15 and 20 mph at many locations
and locally stronger over/west of the Daniel Boone National Forest
and near/north of the I-64 corridor. The winds will be gusty
again on Wednesday afternoon but should be just a little bit
weaker. The next disturbance passes on Thursday with increased
cloud cover but only a small chance (generally less than 30%) of
measurable rainfall.
