Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
447 AM EDT Tue Oct 14 2025

.DISCUSSION....Surface high pressure will continue to remain dominate
through much of the week. This will lead to dry weather and
seasonably cool temperatures. Northerly winds will advect drier air
into the region leading to afternoon minimum RHs in the upper 40 to
50% for today and Wednesday; however by Thursday and lingering into
Friday those minimum RHs will fall into the low-30% range. An
approaching cold front will bring a wetting rain to the area
beginning late Saturday night and continuing through Sunday
afternoon.
