National Weather Service Jackson KY
427 AM EST Fri Nov 7 2025

...Gusty Winds Today with a Wetting Rain for the Region This Afternoon
into Tonight...

.DISCUSSION...A warm and breezy day is anticipated today as a
cold front approaches, with wind gusts as high as 25 to 35 mph
possible outside of any thunderstorms. Moisture will also increase
ahead of the front leading to a moderation in afternoon humidities.
The front will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region this
afternoon and evening, some of which could be strong to
severe with damaging winds or hail. A wetting rain is expected
areawide from this system. This system exits tonight, but a
much stronger surge of cold air arrives Sunday with multiple
disturbances expected to cross the area to begin the new week.
The coldest air so far this Fall will arrive, with the first
snowflakes possible Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures are
expected to be below normal for much of next week.
