Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky...UPDATED
National Weather Service Jackson KY
300 PM EDT Tue Apr 8 2025

.DISCUSSION....High pressure passes through eastern Kentucky
overnight making for a chilly night with temperatures bottoming
out below freezing by dawn. This has also brought a rather dry
air mass resulting in the humidity values on Wednesday afternoon
falling into the low 20 percent range for much of the area as
temperatures rebound sharply but moisture only slowly increases.
However, some unsettled weather is expected to return for
Wednesday night into Friday with much higher humidities on tap
through the end of the week. Around a half an inch of rain is
expected through the area from this next system. In its wake,
frost is possible for Friday night and Saturday night.
