770 FNUS53 KJKL 041945 FWFJKL Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Kentucky National Weather Service Jackson KY 345 PM EDT Fri Oct 4 2024 .DISCUSSION...A few isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm, mainly just for the Tennessee and Virginia border counties will fade out quickly late this afternoon and evening. A somewhat better chance for rainfall will come to a portion of far eastern Kentucky on Sunday evening and overnight as a cold front sweeps through eastern Kentucky; however, rainfall amounts look to be minimal, in most cases a few hundredths of an inch, or less. Behind that front, confidence is high for conditions to be dry with temperatures dropping to near and below normal and holding there for much of next week.
