Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
319 PM EST Mon Nov 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will depart to the east of the area
tonight and allow an area of low pressure to track from TX to the OH
Valley. A warm front preceding the low will lift toward eastern KY
tonight and across the area on Tuesday leading to chances for
showers. Then the trailing cold front will cross the area Tuesday
evening into Tuesday night with a few thunderstorms possible along and
ahead of it. A secondary cold front will then approach late Tuesday
night and cross eastern KY on Wednesday. Chances for showers will
diminish Wednesday morning as the second front passes. A wetting rain
is likely across all of eastern KY from tonight into Wednesday
morning. An area of high pressure returns to the area for Wednesday
night and Thursday and is expected to remain into the start of the
weekend. Unsettled weather may return over the upcoming weekend.
