Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
505 AM EDT Thu Sep 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...Surface high pressure will slowly begin to nudge
itself in from the southwest today; however, isolated showers and
thunderstorms will be possible again this afternoon but mainly in
Pike County. As hinted at, high pressure will continue to nudge in
from the southwest with increasing temperatures. High temperatures
are forecast to run about 10 degrees above normal through the
weekend. An approaching system is forecast to bring wetting rain
to the area for the first part of next week.
