Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky...CORRECTED
National Weather Service Jackson KY
538 AM EDT Thu Aug 20 2026

.DISCUSSION...A cold front will sag across eastern Kentucky today
and Friday. This will lead to a round of showers with a few
rumbles of thunder this morning, with more hit-and-miss showers
and storms bubbling up late today into tonight and again on
Friday. A second cold front arrives over the upcoming weekend,
leading into a noticeably cooler and less humid early fall-like
pattern heading into the last full week of August.
